This is the best Mexican food around. It's a no frills and thrills place but the food is excellent especially the Menudo.
A friend recommended El Sombrero De Jalisco so I went this morning. I was greeted with a smile and was told I could sit anywhere I liked. Within the minute a waitress came over and asked if I wanted some coffee and handed me a menu. I told her this was my first time there and she said take your time. A few minutes later, she returned, and I decided to order the migas plate. It wasn’t very busy and my plate arrived within six minutes. The food was very good and for a change the refried beans were flavorful. The red and green salsa was also very good. The waitress, Coraima, was very kind with a smile and attentive. I will definitely go back again.

My new favorite Mexican restaurant. Their salsa is sooo good. Chips are thick and flavorful! It's a bright and colorful place and the staff is great. Food is excellent. The carnitas were so juicy and Delicious. Fast!They gave me my dressed (cold salted mug with lime) Topo Chico (my favorite thing to drink)
Another incredible experience! Pulled into a gas station and asked the lovely lady at the pump if she knew where to find the best food and drinks in town. She turned around and pointed across the street at El Sombrero. From the second we walked in till the second we left we were attended to and treated like we belonged there! Ephraim was our waiter and he made the BEST recommendations and was incredibly attentive! He recommended the Steak Ranchero which was the most tender and flavorful piece of meat south of Waco! It was happy hour and he recommended the house margaritas, on the rocks, which were wellllllllllllll worth the 12 each. Had to leave half of the second one behind! If you’re anywhere near Kerrville, do yourself a favor and stop into El Sombrero De Jalisco!

El Sombrero is Always good! I love this place! Try their queso and Carnitas street tacos! Wow!!!
